The trail I grew up hiking on. I don't know if I'll ever thru-hike it, but it brings back fond memories thinking about the trail. Not all parts of the trail are as wild as I'd like. It passes through wilderness areas, but also farms, towns, and roads as it winds through georgia, north carolina, tennessee, virginia, west virginia, maryland, pennsylvania, new jersey, new york, connecticut, massachusetts, vermont, new hampshire, and maine.
