The first place we went once we finally got a car. Located about an hour north of dunedin, it is home to a very peculiar phenomenon. These perfectly round boulders lie on the beach, birthed from the sea cliffs and eventually washed to sea.

Nearby is a dirt road that leads to a lighthouse out on a small peninsula which is home to many seals and sometimes yellow eyed penguins. We have yet to see the penguins.
