We spent a night in the forest outside of the storm before entering what appeared to be the source region. It proved to be somewhat dangerous and we were attacked by some very large rodents (perhaps rats, perhaps hamsters) and a human sized venus fly trap.

Finn was separated from the group shortly after the battle. A large somewhat feline black creature pounced on him and his found himself falling and then in a mysterious forest with an even more mysterious house. Finn made his way through several confusing rooms in the house until eventually reaching an upside-down room with a domed ceiling (which was on the ground).

Up above, on the floor was a magic circle of some sort, but far out of Finn's grasp. The dome had several large black splotches and one of those black feline creatures dove out from one splotch and into another. Finn delved into the dome and heard gary talking from the large central splotch. Finn dove into it.

On the other side Finn was reunited with the group, but was thrown immediately into a battle against one of those black feline shadow monsters and some tall grey men it had summoned. We managed to defeat them, but not unscathed. Yet, despite the danger our heros delved back into the portal to try and destroy the magic circle.

The circle was not easily destroyed without powerful tools and soon the rest of the group joined finn trapped in the alternate dimension Aurora attempted to climb the rope without any assistance, but even she was seemingly too tired with the strange magical weakness effect. Using a prusik, finn was able to slowly climb the rope and then with a mix of pulling and climbing aurora made it up as well and we lifted gary and gordon up and out.

Gordon and finn looked around outside and found a nice large stone to drop down the hole, but we actually tossed it down a hole in the roof rather than carrying it down the stairs into the temple. As it just to happened the stone landed on alter which cracked and shattered some magical plates laying on top of it.

We immediately felt a magical aura vanish and the fog stopped coming out of the vents. The well no longer pointed to an alternate dimension. We found 5 powerful artifacts along with 10 armfuls of treasure! Finn now has a curved wooden device whom gordon says is called a "boomerang".
